Acces Code with pangolin essay

Hi,
If I set the visibility of the pangolin essay album - “Protected - requires Access Code” - I can’t see the album, of course, but I can’t see the place to enter the code either. With “Public visibility” everything is OK. The album is managed by Backlight.

Probably a functional oversight on my part. I’ll add it to my to-do list to take a look.

Hi Matthew,
Have you had time to look into why I can’t use the access code in the pangolin essay album. Maybe I have done something wrong myself?

Not yet. Been busy with Backlight 5.

Now that’s released, I’ll try to look into this for an update.

Hi Matthew,
I have switched to Backlight 5 in the meantime, but the problem did not go away.

We’ve looked into it, and we don’t presently have the architecture in place to support access codes or password protection for modules reliant on using the JSON API to load images. This rules out protection for the Journal and Essay modules.

A workaround might be to nest your essay(s) in a password-protected album set (using Pangolin Album Set).
