Using Backlight 3, I will be using TTG publisher to create album sets and albums in Lightroom.
I have set up the menu design to contain links to two pages of thumbnails representing multiple albums (to be created), one for photography and one for jewelry.
Should I set up two album sets under TTG publisher, i.e., photography albums in one Album set and the jewelry albums in the 2nd album set? Or is there a better way to set this up.
Thanks, Paul
If you’re creating two top-level sets, then you should right-click the Publisher in Lightroom, duplicate, and configure each of the two instances to target the separate folders.
If you want to use only one instance of the publisher, then you should publish the two album sets into the default “galleries” folder.
Thanks for your very quick response.
I have a couple more questions regarding publishing galleries from LR.
-
The images I plan to publish to my website from LR are either dng or jpg files. Do I need to export all the dng files out of LR and then import jpgs into LR to use the TTG publisher?
-
Do I need to size all images to the resolution I would like for display before publishing or will Backlight take care of this automatically?
Thanks, Paul
Define image sizes in the album template, using Backlight’s designer.
As for publisher, just create an album collection, drag your images in, and press the Publish button. See video.
Sounds good and simpler than I thought. Thanks for the guidance. Paul
