"alt" Attribute Editing

Hi Everyone,

I’m looking for a way to edit an image’s “alt” attribute once the image has been uploaded to Backlight. The same way we can edit keywords, title, etc. from an album.

I’ve tried a few different things, but to no avail…

Am I missing something or must I go into each image on my computer and edit EXIF data before uploading? If so, does that mean I have to re-upload my images?

Thanks in advance,

Larry

PS - I upload my images to my albums via the Backlight Admin - I don’t use Lightroom.

If using Kookaburra Album, you can customize the alt attribute source here in the template:

Currently, there’s no way to edit the alt attribute in the publisher.

Seems like something we can pretty easily add in an update, though.

Hi Matthew - I’m using Pangolin still as my site incorporates a left side menu. I am pondering changing over, as half the traffic is mobile with a hamburger menu, but I do maintenance on my desktop and find the top menu eats up too much space that could better be used for image display. I look forward to that minor update that will make a big difference for SEO… Larry
