API-code for separate domains while working with same LR

I am working with LR on one Mac, and want to use backlight plugin facility in LR to make albums for two individual websites (mine and my wife’s) at the same server under separate domain names. Now, I wonder how I have to go about the API codes. Can I change the API-code while the albums made with a different code will remain in place and unchanged? And change later again?

Create a new Publisher instance for the other domain.
In Lightroom Publish Services, right click on TTG Publisher and click on Create another Publish Service via "TTG Pulisher ”
