Hi, is it possible to add a watermark to the index images in the client gallery when publishing from within LR ? If so is there any documentation detailing this ?

Do you mean the thumbnails in the album? If so, in Lightroom, edit the album and make sure the box to exclude watermarks is unchecked,
If it isn’t, uncheck it and republish the thumbnails.
If you’re referring to thumbnails in an album set, the those, by default, are pulled from the album thumbnails. Once you republish the album thumbnails, the ones used in the album set should have watermarks too.
That’s done it.
