If I password (access code ) a gallery i loose the gallery thumbnail regardless of what I have the setting, Random, custom etc.
I am using LR to publish my galleries and all modules are upto date.
In Backlight’s settings, look for the option, “Protect Cover Images for Password-protected Albums”.
