Recently updated to BL 6 to take advantage of the new blog. In the process also updated to LR plugin v 8.0.0. Today uploaded an new album with images containing the ‘protected’ keyword. The Privacy tab in the plugin, using the same Pangolin template as previously, does not pop up the password box.
It looks like some old code may have crept in as I believe we have moved away from UID/password to a simplified Access Code some time ago.
Re-downloaded the LR plugin, still labeled 8.0.0, deleted the old plugin and reinstalled with relaunch of LRC v14.0.1. Same problem persists, but worth a shot.
Interesting adventure. Glad I used option 3 and renamed the preferences file. Immediate result is LRC forgot everything in the plugin setup including the API URL and keys, and the root gallery. Quickly restored the file and all seems well. I was hesitant to re-enter the data over concerns of a BL database corruption possibility.
Instead, on a different computer I installed the BL plugin and set-up with the API URL and key and directed to a Bluehost scratch directory. Setup went well and the correct data were placed in the scratch directory. Unfortunately, with different computer, LRC installation, new plugin and new directory, I still see the same problem as above.
Just so @Ben has as much info to work with, when you look at the Plug-in Manager in Lightroom, do you get any indicators that something may be wrong with the TTG Publisher plug-in? Because, even though it seems to be working fine for me, I’m seeing a yellow dot by the plug-in name and the text “Installed; may not work” underneath, along with a Status message stating that it’s enabled but had encountered some problems:
Hi @jherman and @rod_barbee, I’ve found this issue in the 8.0.0 plugin. This is to do with the cross-checking of Backlight versions and features, made complicated by a single plugin supporting CE4 and six different versions of Backlight. I’ll have an update soon.
Hi @jherman and @rod_barbee, I have update the LR Publisher plugin, version 8.0.1. Can you please download it from the Backlight Modules page and let me know how you go?
