Not 100% sure but most likely due to update to the most recent version. I did not had the issue before …
Backlight - Designer - Templates: I saved an album template (picture 1). The marked sliders are on the left with a value of zero. Going back again into edit mode of this Template the specified parameters have been changed (picture 2). Still value of zero but the sliders are moved -> so in reality it is NOT longer a value of zero. In case I do not save the weird constellation nothing happens, but the purpose of being in edit mode is to make changes and save them. After saving BL uses the “wrong” settings (not the values of zero but instead the values corresponding to the position of the sliders)
I’m sure it will be as there are already a number of people who are experiencing this,
Also keep an eye out on your Backlight Modules page for any updates (though I don’t know if this will be a version update or a patch)
For anyone reading this, I’d suggest exporting your templates as a backup to your design.
If you just access a template and simply save it, this problem can occur.
If you’ve made any changes to a template, when you save , this can occur.
If it has, you will need to go through your templates and reset things like gutters, padding, borders, border radius.
While you’re inside the template making these changes, you can save without the design going crazy again. It seems to happen after you’ve left the template and then returned to it.
So once you’ve fixed the design to your liking, export the template. That way you can import the template and restore your design if needed.
A fix for this issue is now available. Update to Backlight 4.1.2 from the Backlight Modules page of your admin area. If you’re already running 4.1.2, then click “Reinstall All” under Backlight 4 to apply the fix.
