Contact form does not go to the new email address

I am using Backlight 3.x. After changing my email address in Backlight settings for site and vendor email, I tested sending the contact form and expected it to arrive in the Inbox of the new email. Tried 3X and the contact form email does not reach the new email address. Please advise.

BTW- I changed the email address in Backlight settings from pshilling@health.ucsd.edu to
pshilling135@gmail.com

Have you taken a look at our documentation about email settings?

I do not recommend using a Gmail address. Best to use an address @yourdomain.com, that’s set up with your host. See the doc for more info.
