Is there a way to bypass the contact page and instead when a visitor click the email icon it simply opens his own email client on his device to send a message? I receive spam daily from my website, so I’m considering removing the contact page from the menu, but I’d like to know if there’s another way to receive emails from my site without writing the text there. (hope I was clear…)

You could use an email link. But you may end up getting more spam by using an email link. Some people write their address as plain text so the bots can’t harvest it. For example

someone at somewhere dot com

But if you want a link, here’s a tutorial. It even contains examples for when you want the subject line pre populated
