Are there any plans to implement the ability to see content authenticity through the open source initiative? Leica has a new camera that now implements this, and as more do, it would be nice to have the information available on a preview or some other method in backlight. Just forward thinking ….

Unfortunately, the CAI SDK fits into our tech stack. It requires Node.js for compilation, and that’s not a part of what we’ve built.
And even if it did, I’m not entirely sure how it would work regarding generated renditions, such as whether the metadata exports from raw files to output JPEGs, whether authenticity applies to those JPEGs, whether it would persist through the generation of Backlight’s display renditions, thumbnails, etc.
Oh, and if anyone would like to buy me the new Leica, I will be more than happy to experiment with this stuff.
