I had some issues setting up directory permissions on my site galleries’ directory where the browser would not prompt for a password. I fixed that with a call to the hosting provider and not quite sure what he changed. He said he fixed a permalink. Then published again from lightroom and the problem has returned.
So I am wondering if I need to add some text to Backlight / Settings / Advanced / .htaccess to prevent this problem from returning ?
