Email with a dot in the name

I have a problem. Some of my clients are unable to submit the order when they have an email with a dot in the name. Example “sonialopes.toc@gmail.com”. Thank you very much in advance for your help

Is this with Cart or Client Response?

I can’t duplicate the problem using the regular contact form, cart, or Client Response.

I get orders through my cart from people who have dots in their email addresses

Is everything in Backlight up to date?
