I’m making some changes to my Home page to allow the slideshow to occupy as much real estate as possible on the Home page. Setting the background color to ‘transparent’ for the menu and masthead works fine as expected. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to make the footer background color transparent as well. It doesn’t happen even after I explicitly set the background color to transparent in my Home template. What am I missing?
Here’s my test site: http://www.mabtesting.dreamhosters.com/home/
Actually, it looks like the footer is transparent. It’s showing the page background color
If you want to give the slideshow the most real-estate, then a template without the footer would be the way to go.
So the footer can’t be overlaid on top of the slideshow then?
no.
Well, not that I can see how to do.
But you can use a template with a footer for all you other pages. It would just be the home “landing” page that would go footerless.
OK, thanks. Well, I can always put the copyright notice on my gallery template, using the Album Copy and specifying “Below the Gallery”. That might work to remove it from the slideshow page.
