Galleria template overwriting Album template in Lightroom

I have a new strange problem. I use Lightroom to publish my photos. I’m using publisher plugin 7.0.0 and Lightroom 12.4. I updated/republished two of my albums and noticed they appeared as Galleria slideshows on my website, not my normal Pangolin album.

In Backlight, I noticed that the template was selected to Galleria for the two republished galleries. I changed it back to my Album template, went to Lightroom and saw that it was still set to Galleria. I closed, reopened, and it was again set to the Galleria template. In fact, all of my albums were set to the Galleria template in Lightroom. When I change them back to my Album template, close the dialogue box, and reopen, I can see it switch back to Galleria.

I’ve cleared the template cache, etc., with no change in behaviour.

Any ideas?

Two things to try:

Reset Lightroom preferences. This often takes care of all sorts of wieirdnesses with Lightroom.
(go to Lightroom Preferences > General tab. If you press the Alt/Opt key, you’ll see the Reset all Preferences button in the Prompts area)

If that doesn’t work, you could try changing the album management from Lightroom to Backlight. Find that option in the individual albums’ Advanced Settings section in Backlight.
(if you subsequently republish from Lightroom, I believe the settings from Lightroom will take over again.)

The Lightroom reset fixed it, Rod. Thanks once again!

Good to know. It’s surprising how often that works.
