The default size of the full page photos (ie not thumbnails, the large single photo that appears when you click on a thumbnail) is too big for laptop screens. You have to scroll up and down to see the full image. How do I make the size image proportionately smaller?

you can set the rendition size in the album template under Image Renditions. But it also depends on the presentation you choose.
If you use the Slide Show presentation, then the image should, I believe, be contained to the screen size. If you use the Single Page presentation, then the full size of the image is used on the page and scrolling may be needed, depending on the monitor being used.
