I went into the admin section of my web site to make some changes to my gallery page. I made the changes, but when I click on the save settings button I get a ‘cannot save setting as I don’t have access’ type of message. Then I select another item from the pull down menu and it kicks me back to the logon screen. It doesn’t;t seem to be logging me off, even though it says I logged out successfully.
Never had this before and don’t know why this happening, or what to do too correct it.
Hi Jack, that sounds like sessions may not be working or that your site has been placed behind a content distribution network.
Can you provide the site URL?
I was having some performance issues on my site and when I called them, they thought a proxy set up could improve things. I did that on 31 October. Yesterday was the first time I logged into Backlight admin to make some changes, and had the problem.
The service that was added did not improve my site response time and was going to cancel it anyway. I called them and that service is now canceled.
I can now log in and Backlight admin is working as it was.
Thanks for your help in troubleshooting this as I would not have figured that out.
