I’m aware of the issue with icons and GDPR, but despite trawling the community, I can’t find a fix that I understand for the hearts missing from my client response gallery. But I’ll admit to getting lost in some of the discussions.
I have changed the setting to “Load Font Awesome resources locally”, and installed the files on the server, as I saw suggested somewhere, but that didn’t help.
I’m still on Backlight 4, and since I’m using client response, can’t move on to Kookaburra yet anyway.
Is there a simple way to get the hearts back ?
Update after a few more hours of struggle: I found this page:Font Awesome 5 Free Unicode Fix - TTG Tips and Tricks
and followed the instructions, but when I got to “In Backlight, edit the page template and in the Advanced Setup tab under Custom Stylesheet, choose your new custom css file and save the template.”, I found that my clientResponse template didn’t have a custom css option in the advanced tab (though I noticed that my normal pages do.).
You need to add custom css file to the page template that governs the album template.
But the simplest solution is upgrading to Backlight 5.
Kookaburra is an option in Backlight 5, you don’t have to use it (and it doesn’t yet support CR anyway)
Ah ha, the page template, got it. I’ll keep trying with that fix. Thanks.
I’m mostly retired, so saving my pennies for Backlight 6…
