Thx for the new comparison slider in 6.0.1 in Kookaburra.
As the Image Presentations in Kookaburra are not yet documented (empty in Page, these are also part of e.g. blog; should these in a separate list?) I played around to get to grips with it. Some questions/remarks:
Is it correct that images should be the same height (in pixels)?
Is each pair of selected images placed in a separate comparison?
If odd number of images are selected the last one is ignored?
Use the labels in front of the captions i.s.o. the numbers 1. and 2. (enhancement).
if this is an album, then the images will be the same size as per the album template settings
I haven’t tested this out in an essay page or blog where you can pull images from different albums.
In this case on a blog page, images are taken from the same album. Are images in an album the same height?
OK
OK
Not in my setup, just the number and the label text, as above on a blog post. Next, I think that the number should be omitted (number has no use when label is present).
I compare two images with a different aspect ratio. I assume that is not what it is intended for … (this was just playing around with two unrelated images).
re #4: Turning the number on or off is something for @Matthew to address.
Otherwise, custom css, or probably javascript, might be able to remove the first three characters of each line.
Image comparison is best when comparing images of equal size.
I’m working on some followup improvements that (I think) should provide a better experience when the images are not the same size, but I’m still working it out, so don’t hold me to it. I’m trying some things, but not making promises.
Currently, seems like the overall size of the pair is derived from the second image.
Indeed the second image determines the height of the comparison ‘window’ size (switched the order to verify).
Enhancement #4 would be an item higher on the backlog for me.
