Thinking of moving to Kookaburra. Have read that I need to publish photos larger. How do I know and set the export sizes when using Lightroom Classic’s Publish services? I have no idea what size gets published when exporting into TTG Publisher.
Thanks and happy new year!
This from the documentation:
Images published to Kookaburra albums will generate 1x and 2x renditions for photos and thumbnails, and will be displayed using the srcset property. In short, images look just gorgeous in Kookaburra albums.
To take full advantage of this feature, upload images at 2x the Photo Width/Height specified for the “Photos” rendition in Kookaburra Album. For example, if width and height are there defined as 1024, then upload images 2048-pixels on the long edge.
implies that you would need to export the images from Lightroom and upload them using Backlight Publisher.
So, as in the example above, if you set the Photos rendition in the album template to 1024px on the long side, you would need to export from Lightroom (using the Export feature in the Library Module, not the Publisher) images that are 2048px on the long side and upload those via Backlight Publisher.
Thanks, Rod. I guess that moving to Kook. will necessitate lots of changes in the way that I publish.
You can still use the Lightroom Publisher. But it will only create the sizes designated in the template. Unless I’m reading the docs wrong.
