New issue in 3.2.0?

I’m helping a friend design a new website using Backlight and we just upgraded her site to 3.2.0 but noticed what seems like a bug. In trying to “Add a Logo Image” to the Masthead on her home template, new files added in 3.2.0 do not appear in the “Logo Image”’ pulldown list below. Old ones do appear, but it fails to recognize newly-added files.

Oddly enough, the new files do appear elsewhere, for example, under “Add a Background Image” but never appear under “Add a Logo Image”. I verified that this was not an issue in prior releases; it only happens in 3.2.0, which means there’s no longer a way to add or replace a logo. I also verified that the problem occurs regardless of file type. I tested both JPG and PNG files with identical results.

She just licensed Backlight and several plug-ins in the last few days, so this is a brand new installation.

Hi Mike,

I’ve already reported this to the guys

You beat me to it. Glad to hear it not just me. Scratched my head wondering if I’d done something stupid.

it’s popping up in the album template watermark settings too. I imagine a fix will be coming soon!

Is there a way for us to undo the upgrade in the meanwhile without messing up the data?

Good question. I don’t know. I don’t think so. I can’t think of a way to install a pre-3.2.0 version since it’s all installed from the ttg server.

Once Ben sees the bug report I doubt it will take long for him to address it. Can you design around things or just use a text-based masthead for now?
I suppose you could use phplugins to insert a Masthead logo for now if you needed to.

It’s not a live site, so we’ll just wait for the fix. Thanks for the help.

I’ll have a fix soon

Hi @mblanchette1, I’ve addressed this issue in a silent update.
Can you visit the Backlight Modules page and click Reinstall All next to the Backlight module, then try again? You’ll need to delete and re-upload any images you intend to use via the Uploaded Images page for them to appear in the dropdown.

Done and it works. Thanks for the quick turnaround.
