No accounts were found for this Username and Email

Hi,
so, I messed up. I deleted everything and then did a clean install of Backlight 5 on my site. I wanted to reorganize everything and thought it would be the best after a complete clean up. The installer did it´s work (I used my order-id and correct email-address) but now I can´t login anymore because it says “No accounts were found for this Username and Email”
The “send password reset link” doesn´t work also.
Any suggestions how to reset my password – Thanks in advance.

Firstly, is there a chance you never set a password? If so, then try logging in with the default access of admin and password.

Otherwise, you’ll need to do two things: 1. find out the list of usernames and email addresses, and 2. get a password reset link.

For 1. Visit a link like this, replacing ‘yoursite.com’ with the actual URL of your site: https://yoursite.com/backlight/admin/retrieve_all_passwords

That will create a file on your server at backlight/data/admin/user.txt with a set of usernames and emails. e.g. admin admin@yoursite.com. You’ll need to find this file using FTP.

For 2. Use the username and email found from step 1. to send a password retrieval link, e.g. by visiting https://yoursite.com/backlight/admin/forgot/

If you receive an email, then click on the link to set a new password. If you do not, then find the most-recent log file via FTP under backlight/data/admin/logs, open the file and look at the end of it for a copy of the reset password link.

Isn’t the default password ttg8888?

Hi Ben,
thanks for your quick answer but in the user.txt there is only as it was for a long time only “admin” and “guest”.
When I use the “forgot option” there is no email coming at all.
Any other suggestions ?

That did it. I think it was because after the new install there was no emailaddress saved in the admin-profile. Therefore I think I didn´t get the reset password email.
