Pangolin Journal Problem

Not running Spotify. Actually there are four albums.

Maybe it wasn’t Shopify specifically. This was the Pause on exception error that I’m seeing. Maybe it will help Ben:

Block 4 is not turned on. That’s why you’re not seeing the album.

Turned on block 4 and turned off block one. Still only block one. I have to believe it is more than a template configuration issue.

I just turned on Block 1. Now 1 thru 4 are on and you have four albums in the set.

All blocks have the same number of albums setting. So each block gets one album. If you want two albums to show up in block two, then change the Number of Blocks setting in Block 2. Otherwise, all your blocks are going to look like block one, which makes it look like it’s repeating.

I changed the number of albums in Block 2 to Two. No change.

Farther down the Block settings is a section titled Columns at Screen Width. I just change the widest ones to two columns.
This area is so you can set your preferences for different screen sizes, like for ipads or phones.

As of this morning Journal is working fine again. The problem of the template settings changing has not reoccurred. Unless Matt or Ben did something I have to believe it was a hosting issue. Thanks to Rod for his help and patience when it became obvious I had a poor grasp of the Journal template settings.

Glad it’s working.
Be sure to look at the page at smaller screen sizes too, like an ipad and iphone. You may wish to reduce padding. Right now, when the screen starts getting small, the thumbnails in the two column block get pretty small. That’s due to the 64px of left and right padding.
And on my iPhone in portrait orientation, there’s so much padding that the images aren’t appearing at all. In Landscape orientation, the thumbnails are very small.

Thanks, rod. That was my next question - how to get it to display on my phone.

Regards,
Luke

Looks like there’s still 125px of left and right padding being applied to the entire album set. This is making those thumbs so small on a phone.
Check the Gutter setting.

Got it! Thanks, Rod
