Hi guys, getting this error when loading the plugin. I have tried re-downloading the files.
is the unzipped plugin file on Dropbox or did you download it to you computer?
Have you downloaded this recently? If so, what version of LR are you using? I have recently updated the plugin with a new compiler, so I wonder if this is a compatibility issue.
The plugin resides on a hard drive, it just happens to also be in dropbox
Sure here’s my version info, I think it’s a little behind the latest as I haven’t installed the latest updates for windows 10

I’m having more issues with the plugin, I’ve been putting up a few test galleries and the first one went up ok but now the upload process in lightroom is constantly hanging on 0%

I was likely working within the admin section of Backlight while it was uploading. Would that potentially interrupt the plugin?
It shouldn’t do. 500 errors can be difficult to diagnose, as they don’t provide any information to go with. Do you have access to the PHP error log either through your site’s control panel or via FTP? The latter could be in a file called error_log, either in the top level directory of your FTP access or in a directory such as ‘logs’.

Hi @trottsky, the error you’ve found is caused by the OptinMonster WP plugin. Is that something you’ve intentionally installed?
Can you check that the date and time (e.g. 17-Dec-2021 17:56:06 UTC in last error you posted above) corresponds to the time that you saw the error in LR? It may be worth trying to raise the error again, and checking that the date and time of the latest error aligns with the time you saw the error in LR.
Requests to Backlight should not be going through WP at all. I suggest temporarily disabling the plugin to determine whether it’s the cause of the error you’re seeing in LR, assuming that the error you’re seeing in LR happens often enough for the absence of it to prove that disabling the plugin stopped the error from occurring.
Hi Ben, that’s very interesting. I’ve just signed up to the Bluehost account and don’t use Wordpress at all. I’ve deleted the OptinMonster plugin.
Since I don’t use Wordpress do you think it’s worth removing the entire thing? Or is it mostly doing no harm?
