So as a previous user of Backlight 1 and then 2, I bit the bullet and bought Backlight 4
I knew I would have a couple of little issues as its all very similar, however… something odd is happening in Lightroom when publishing photos.
Here is what i have done:
Setup the new TTG publisher file on my PC and set it up in Lightroom, authenticated works OK.
In Lightroom, I created an album set for the TTG publisher service and an album called Macro underneath it (inside the album set)
Tried to PUBLISH and resulted in this error appearing in Lightroom:
Cant update this collection
An internal error has occured:
TTGPublishServiceProvider.lua668: attempt to index field ‘renditions’ (a nil value)
I have no idea what this means!!! I can see in backlight admin that the macro album folder has been created with zero photos in of course! So i know lightroom is talking to backlight but its not completed the publishing of the photos.
I then checked my permissions of the folder in FTP and the read/write/execute properties. There is only an album called galleries, no macro folder and the galleries folder permissions are 755 (which i believe is correct)
Can anyone help me with this please? I am unsure how to resolve this by myself.
Just to double check, you downloaded the new TTG Publisher plugin from your Backlight Modules page and installed it correct?
You should be using version 6.0.2
Yes Rod, thats correct. I deleted the old one in my Lightroom 6 that was working beautifully with the old version of Backlight, and installed the new TTG Publisher. Authenticated all ok hence why the album was showing in the admin side of Backlight, but threw up the error that i put in my original post.
No idea why, any suggestions?
I can send you a link to my website if that helps?
Well, I could try publishing something from my end if you want. That would at least narrow the problem down to Lightroom or something on the server.
If you want, you can message me the url to your site and the API key.
I figured it out… I still had the old TTG Publisher residing on my PC, so i deleted that and it now works.
Had to restart Lightroom, so I now have the ability to publish photos from lightroom direct to my website… although they arent showing using the galleries menu item, i still need to figure that part out, but no error on Lightroom now and i can see via FTP the files have been uploaded.
Hopefully this snippet of info may be useful for others reading this
Your Galleries link is going to galleries/flowers (or something like that) Just edit the menu set and for Galleries, choose Album Set and then the Galleries set.
