Running two different versions of Publisher on LRC

My current TTG website is running on Backlight 1.2.2 and I am publishing my images from LRC. My current Backlight 1.2.2 Publisher version is 3.2.2.
I am about to install Backlight 3.x on a sub-folder under my domain to experiment with the new TTG 3.x tools. Can I install and operate two different versions of Publisher on LRC? (Mismatching versions of Publisher).

No need to run two different versions. Replace the old version with the current version, it will work with Backlight 1.
