Search engine fail

Hello, I’ve noticed recently that Backlight’s search module sometimes returns “strange” results. The site contains a few hundred stage productions, all having a listing of the author, director and other designers involved with each production.
Consider this example: search for a name Anick La Bissonière on the web site pideja.ca .
I’ve tried many variations of the spelling, and I get different returns half the time.

Notice that when the query is “ANICK” or “LA BISSONIÈRE”, I get 7 titles. But, when I use the full name “ANICK LA BISSONNIÈRE”, I get 6 results and finally, when asking for “Anick La Bissonnière” only two!
(This last example might indicate that the search engine is case-sensitive.)

I checked each of these productions for typos or other errors. No errors I could find.

What do you think might be causing these mistakes?

After looking high and low I can’t find an answer. So, I will be urging users and myself to use caps only (the names are written as such on the site) and use" ". That way, the search engine returns correct answers…most of the time.
By the way, how can the results be displayed in chronological order?
