Showing an album in Facebook

I have two Pangolin albums, one uses a hereo image, the other not. When I try to share the links in Facebook, then the one having a hero image doesn not show any preview, the other one does.
Any idea what is causing thedifference in behaviour?

Facebook caches previews for URLs, so probably the one without a preview was previously cached without a preview, and needs to be scraped anew.

Here’s how each should look in various places.

You can force Facebook to re-scrape a page, and generate an updated preview for a previously cached URL, by going to Facebook’s Sharing Debugger.

Nice bird photos, btw. But where the kookaburras at?

Matthew, thanks for this.
When I used Open Graph to check, both albums showed up as expected, but it still didn’t work in FB. The FB Sharing Debugger error message said, something was wrong with the image picked as cover image. Either wrong format or the file was broken, if I remember correctly.
I have then checked what images were selected and, in both cases, it was the cover image. Some further investigation then revealed that I had saved and uploaded the new cover image as a full-size version. Reducing that to the usual 1200*675 pixels and re-saving fixed the problem after re-scraping in Facebook. Not sure why, but it works now.

The kookaburras weren’t showing up this time - probably too cold for them :rofl:.

Glad to hear you’ve sorted it out.

Kookaburras in coats would be cute, I reckon.
