I am not sure how to create a Smart Album in Backlight 5 from Lightroom. I don’t get an option to make the album a Smart Album using the keyword feature. I am running the latest versions of Backlight 5 (5.0.1) and Lightroom Publisher Plug-In (V 7.0).
Thanks
Jack

Hi Rod.
Yes I did look ate that article. But in the Createing a Smart Album section, there is the following.
“Under “Base Settings”, look for the option to enable the album as a Smart Album.”
I don’t see that option in “Base Settings”.
Jack
It’s in both Backlight Publisher and the Lightroom Publisher plug-in.
In Backlight Publisher:
And in the Publisher plug-in:
Double check that you have installed the latest Lightroom Publisher plug-in

Rod,
Thank you. Thank you.
I looked right past that box. A couple of times no less.
I was looking in the ‘Options’ section.
Why? Old age I guess. LOL
Thanks again.
Jack
Old age is as good excuse as any. I’m starting to use it myself!

I’m glad you found it. We added the setting to Base Settings, as it’s a fundamental setting for how an album functions.

Rod and Ben, and Matt too.
Thanks guys. I have been around since the CE2 days, and have enjoyed the ride. Hence the “old age” reference. LOL.
The Turning Gate is still the best. There is no other platform that can do what you guys do!
You have helped me many, many times along the way with problems, and better ways to do what I wanted to do.
I really do appreciate that.
I am looking forward for the continuing journey.
Thanks again,
Jack

It’s all Matt and Ben, I’m just fortunate to be along for the ride too.

Thank you, Jack! I means a lot to us to hear such positive impressions of our work, and to have had folks using our software for such a long time.
