Swap Sub-Domain with Domain

I have a website with a sub-domain. They are both in LR and both Backlight 5. What is the easiest way to swap them? LR, Backlight or FTP?

If you can, ssh is the fastest. Otherwise, ftp is your friend. Don’t forget to update the URL for your publishing service in Lr, if using, and the site URL in Backlights admin settings.

Instead of copying everything around, it might be sufficient to rename directories. But this really depends on how your host organizes the sub-domain directories.

Thanks Daniel, much appreciated. Looks like it’ll be a lot of time invested to do it because of links etc. I was hoping to just drag the pages over in LR but obviously doesn’t work like that.
