Unable to access admin panel

Somehow (I’m still trying to figure this out) GoDaddy sent me an email to look at some new AI website developer. I looked at it, didn’t click on anything, and then I left. A couple of days later, there was a home page announcing that my site was “coming soon.” I called GoDaddy, and apparently somehow their new website builder took over my site. The Tech rep as very helpful, got rid of all the “new” stuff, and then had to reset my DNS back to my IP address.

A few days later, I attempted to log into the admin panel, and both Safari and Chrome could not connect to my server. Again, I’m back on the phone with GoDaddy. The Tech support guy said that my htaccess was the problem, and there was some “code” that was added, and I need to fix it. I know nothing about code. I downloaded a copy of the file which he renamed "htaccess_old) and I can now access the panel. However today, I noticed I have no access to any of the contacts (mostly spam) on the site.

I have a copy of the htaccess_old, but I don’t know if that is something that I can attach for you to look at, or if that file should be in the public domain. Is this something I can attach, or should I email it to you for you to look at?

Thanks in advance.
