I am running Backlightversion 1.2.3. I know, really old version. I would like to know if I can upgrade to Backlight 3 and if I am eligible for a reduced rate as a previous owner.

I recently completed an upgrade from 1.2.1 to 3 without any issues. Follow Matt’s good instructions and you will be fine.
