I am trying to add a video on on our website. I really don’t want to go through Vimeo, YouTube, etc. but would rather do it as I do with regular images and the img code.

I am not succeeding and clearly am doing something incorrectly. Any help would be so very much appreciated.

if you don’t want to use YouTube or Vimeo, the next best option is to use html5 video via the Theater add-on

oh, and to display code in the forum, this post has a link to a page on formatting text in Discourse

You should also be able to paste embed code from whatever site you like into the content area of any page. That site just wouldn’t be supported for Theater embedding.

Thanks, Rod! I assume that the Theater add-on has to be one placement per page ???

Yes, using Theater’s video presentation you can only place one video in each album.
But you can create an album set to act as a gallery of videos.
