Web host updating PHP & MySQL

My web host just notified me of coming updates to PHP & MySQL. They said:

“PHP will be upgraded from 7.4 to the latest version of 8.1. MySQL will be upgraded from MariaDB 10.3 to the latest version of MariaDB 10.5. If your site or applications implement PHP functions that are incompatible with PHP 8.1.x, there is helpful information about the upgrade on the following link to our Knowledgebase.”

Will Backlight 4 & 5 work with these updated server applications? Anything I need to know or do?

Hi John, both Backlight 4 and 5 support PHP 8.1. We don’t use MySQL or MariaDB, so those version changes aren’t relevant. I hope that helps.
