Hello,
I have watch the old video about the Wordpress AddOn. Are there now more options?
I think it would be a great advantage to use the design features of Wordpress Themes or Pagebuilder and add the functions and comfort of the Backlight galeries.
Is this possible?
Thanks
Andreas
The newest feature in Backlight 3 is the ability to insert Backlight albums via short code. I don’t think that’s been added to the documentation but there is a video:

In the add-on, there is a Post Galleries design section, but that’s been there since before BL3
Thanks Rod. I think I have also look at this video. I think I have to user the Backlight Theme in Wordpress to use this feature?
My main point is, that I like to Design my Wordpress site without Backlight and only use the gallery. The point with the shortcode where wonderful, if this work with any WP Theme.
You need to be using the Backlight generated theme for the short code to work.
Though perhaps you could edit another theme to add the same short code capability
Thanks, I will take a look at the design options of Backlight. As I wrote, I see the design advantage in Wordpress Themes.
The point of the Backlight WordPress add-on is having continuity of design throughout the site.
I use occasionally a page builder (Beaver Builder) and other plugins to easily add some other functionality.
ok, so the Backlight Theme work together with other Theme/Pagebuilder like Elementor, so I can add designs like header, footer etc with the pagebuilder?
The header and footer come from the Backlight theme. But I suppose you could try designing a page template in Backlight that lacks header and footer and then try adding those with a page builder.
I’ve not tried that yet.
Though I think most page builders affect the content area of pages and posts and not the header and footer. Those are usually part of the theme.
