My home page is complete now with the social media icons. So i was ready to publish my new site. However when i logged out of Backlight and ran through a last test the images I had inserted on my home page using the essay feature had gone, as soon as I logged in they were back. This is the case on all browsers i tested. I know it is the latest version as the Icons are there.

Solved it. There are three rows of images the bottom row came from a protected album. So for some reason it stopped all rows appearing when logged out. Its a shame that you are allowed to select protected albums or images.
that makes sense. When logged in you can view protected albums and images but when logged out you can’t.
@Ben will need to comment on being able to select protected things for insertion
